Dairy Freezing

Dairy products are prone to deterioration during and after manufacturing and require efficient methods during all stages of production through to transit in order to combat this.

Cryogenic Freezing explained…

Cryogenic Freezing (CF) or removing heat rapidly from dairy products is achieved by using CO2 in the freezing process – usually in its liquid or dry ice form. This ensure low-risk of deterioration within the dairy products and preservation of quality and bio-count – a consumer and business-friendly solution.

Advantages of CO2 in CF:

  • More cost-effective than other methods
  • Improved efficiency through quicker process
  • Space-saving
  • Improved quality of the dairy products i.e. freshness, taste and appearance
  • Minimal chance of bacterial growth and rancidity
  • Low maintenance costs
