Cryoblasting
Otherwise known as dry ice blast cleaning, cryoblasting is used in specialist cleaning processes. The idea behind this is to refrain from using harsh chemicals that always come with the possibility of leaving residual acid or alkaline factors within. The dry ice blasting is just CO2 but in a solid form, meaning that the PH level never hugely increases, so ice blasting becomes a safe choice to clean food processing equipment effectively and help decontaminate surfaces to fight against Salmonella and E. Coli. If you require a storage vessel for dry ice blasting, IGC are your solution.
The solid form (pellets) of CO2 is accelerated in a pressured gun/air stream, once applied to the surface the removal of organic material disappears from the metal surface. Thus making Cry blasting as a “stand alone” alternative to solvent degreasing, especially as after use the pellets will later melt at room temperature and vaporize into a gas. This is very quickly becoming a very popular way of cleaning as in theory you can make you can be self sufficient without having to rely on other companies.
Obviously, if you take getting the gas out of the equation – from variable different companies/sources. You can produce and blast all in house, using just a machine that can turn the dry ice into pellets you could be blasting minutes later. We can supply the tank and all the pressure/temperature equipment needed to run in this field. The actual scale of the blasting would depending on the size of the tank to reduce in between time of gas delivery periods. This is not a new area for us, as we have various installed various tanks for just doing the dry ice blasting processing with all happy customers. IGC can provide suitable CO2 tanks for processing of this.
