Carbon Dioxide Pressure Vessels and Storage Tanks
In the food and beverage industries there are many requirements for CO2 storage tanks, pressure vessels and gas cylinders, either for growing, production, packaging, chilling, freezing and transporting.
A reliable CO2 gas storage tank is therefore vital if production is not to be disrupted, and IGC Engineering supply any CO2 pressure vessel in a range of sizes and pressures, from 4,000 to 560,000 litres with a maximum allowable working pressure of 25 bar.
Whether it’s a horizontal CO2 pressure vessel or a vertical CO2 pressure vessel that’s necessary for your company’s needs, you can be confident that IGC have the correct model and specifications for you.
CO2 Storage Tank Technical Know How
The secret of IGC’s success is that the full range of the company’s technical know how is offered with every CO2 storage tank and gas cylinder that we supply. This means that IGC can provide a full comprehensive service including system design, supply, installation and maintenance.
Pressure Vessel Complete Installation
A CO2 pressure vessel cannot operate in isolation, so IGC also supply vaporizers, vacuum insulated pipeline and all other components needed to provide a custom built installation. This not only applies to the food industry, but also for water and waste treatment, medical, metal refining, and other industrial applications.
Service and Maintenance
Once a CO2 storage tank has been installed, it is vital that regular maintenance is carried out. Not only does this ensure each models abides to the strictest safety standards, but also to prevent disruption to production processes due to equipment failure. IGC bring extensive technical expertise to this area as well, offering a range of maintenance packages for trouble-free operation.
Further details on our VTC series below…
The new VTC range of cryogenic tanks combines safety, flexibility and easy economical operation. The VTC series includes 15 models with features industrial gas producers and users have asked for, but could not get until now. They include a high performance, standard design and a wide range of options to meet most special needs.
The VTC series is designed for long-term storage of liquefied carbon dioxide or nitrous oxide, and is available in capacities from 4.000 to 62.000 liters and a maximum allowable working pressure of 25 bar.
All tanks are in accordance with EN, AD-Merkblätter or other national pressure vessel codes, as required. Tanks outside this range are available upon request. IGC’s other new series of tanks, the VT series, provides high-efficiency, economical vacuum-insulated storage of atmospheric gases.
Finally, IGC manufactures customized vertical and horizontal storage tanks with capacities up to 560.000 liters. IGC can also supply vaporizers, vacuum insulated pipeline and other components needed to create a complete “customer” installation.
Benefits of the VTC Series
- Inner Vessel – carbon steel P355 NL2 for low temperature use.
- Outer Jacket – a combined leg and lifting lug system designed for safe transport, easy lifting and low cost erection using a single crane.
- Insulation – a proven high quality vacuum-perlite system.
- Piping – stainless steel piping for reliability and long life, ergonomically arranged workplace, flow diagram and gauges at eye level, easily accessible valves and safety relief valve outlets directed away from the operating area.
- Valves – stainless steel ball valves (stainless steel or bronze globe valves are optional).
- Pressure Control – an easily adjustable regulator and an aluminum pressure building coil are standard.
- Instrumentation – high quality pressure gauge and differential pressure contents gauge.
- Safety – tanks are equipped with dual relief valves with a variety of options including additional relief valves.
- Option – electrical pressure building heater.
- Outer Finish – choice of two durable corrosion resistant white paints, including a new low VOC paint or a standard 2-stage epoxy-polyurethane paint.
